As a Civil Engineer at Elcora Engineering Solutions, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of various infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, airports, dams, water supply systems, and other public works. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure the successful execution of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Responsibilities as a Civil Engineer include the ability to:
• Develop detailed designs, plans, and specifications for infrastructure projects
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and environmental impact analyses
• Use computer-aided design (CAD) software and other design tools to produce technical drawings and models
• Oversee construction activities, ensuring that projects are executed according to approved designs and specifications
• Monitor progress, quality, and safety at construction sites, resolving any issues that arise
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project completion
• Analyze survey reports, maps, blueprints, and other data to plan project details
• Evaluate structural integrity and safety of proposed or existing structures
• Perform cost estimates, manage budgets, and track project expenses
• Ensure that all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations
• Order necessary permits and approvals from regulatory bodies
• Ensure that projects adhere to environmental, health, and safety standards
• Liaise with clients, contractors, government officials, and the public regarding project details and updates
• Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations for stakeholders
• Provide technical advice and expertise to resolve construction or design issues
• Conduct regular inspections of completed projects and existing infrastructure to ensure proper maintenance
• Identify and recommend repairs or upgrades to infrastructure as needed
Qualifications for this position must consist of:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulatory standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to civil engineering projects.
• This is not a fully remote position, as we need you to be able to meet the team in person and walk local job sites
• A valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
It would be great if you possess:
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one
• 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering or a related field
• Experience with infrastructure projects such as highways, bridges, or water systems
